West Sussex County Council would like to welcome you to its webcast site. From here you will be able to access any meetings or events which are being webcast and any of their associated documents. A list of all these webcasts plus any current live webcasts can be seen in the right hand box.
What is a Webcast?
A webcast is basically a transmission of audio and video over the internet. Video cameras at a Council meeting capture the live information and send it to a central server, which in turn sends it to anyone that would like to view the meeting. Through the use of your internet connection (either broadband or via a dial-up modem) and Windows Media player you can view the meetings live from the comfort of your own home.
Should you miss a meeting, or would like to view a section of the event or meeting again, then you can view the archive at your leisure and, through the use of the index points, allows you to jump to a specific agenda point or speaker.
